    Billet Grille questions/help?

I was thinking of buying an upper and lower billet grille and was wondering if anybody already has either of these. And if so... if they have any tips or tricks on the easiest way to install?

You guys think I should just get the upper and leave the lower portion open like it already is... or what? Opinions?

Also... is it me... or does it seem like the upper grill will just cover the factory grill rather than replace? (click the red link for the pic, inserting here is too large)

Personally preference but I never liked the 04-08 Galant grille. I like mine and might consider Billet if I could find one at a low price. I think you might do better with just the upper grille though. Adding more (as in the lower grille too) is sometimes too much you know?

I was thinking that exact same thing. Like some of the pickup trucks and SUV's out there with full billet grilles... dont always look right.

Definitely. The only car/truck that I can think of that does it right are the GMCs. I love some of their grilles. Most other cars/trucks can easily overdo it with the metal in my opinion.

Yeah, I think with the 9Gs (excluding 2009-2010, different grille completely) would look just right with the billet on top and black on the bottom. Stands out, without being gaudy

Thats kinda what I was thinking. But lately with alot of the road construction some stuff has been hitting up in the lower grille. Was thinking of getting just some black grille meshing and putting it in the lower portion far enough back so its not really seen.

I wonder if the billet grill goes over the factory one. I think it does so i may have to modify it.

I also found this kind of grille. It's mesh, and since my galant is silver, might not look bad, at least in the pic. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

I wish I could find a 09 billet grille. With the way the 09s are, I think it would look great.

And personally, I would stick with the billet over mesh. The mesh looks kind of lame in my opinion

You can get it from the same guy in 3 styles... either upper... lower... or both... i went with upper only because I think it will look better. As the lower just looks gawdy and overdoes it.
