your switching from a 2.4l automatic ecu to 2.0l manual ecu, for the automatic transmission to work it generates the voltage elsewhere in the car branches out and go to the speedometer and the galant ecu as an input to change gears, for the evo8 ecu its an output tach signal that goes to the speedometer cluster it does not need to tell anything to switch gears, so when boomslang wired it up they tied it to an output wire, what i did is, i cliped the tach wire from the ecu and used it for my shift light

Looks good, quick question though.... is the walbro 255 fuel pump direct plug in to galant harness? i know some cars you need a harness adaptor for it to work?

Another quick question is when you did dohc swap you had to upgrade ecu, correct? Is that for what ever head is used, for ex. I may have to use sonata head bc i can't find evo head without paying arm and leg for it ( i can get the sonata head right now with in.mani., injectors, fuel rail, coolant pipe, etc. For under 100 bucks were is on average evo head alone is 300+) now back to original question would i have to run ecu with that head running n/a until i build turbo? Also did you ever get it dynoed n/a yet i am curious to what your hitting n/a before boosted?

Actually I just got it tuned for NA but for right now I just want to turbo it before MOD and do the interior. So if I have extra money left then I will dyno it before turbo but I doubt it. Also, I ran my car with the galant ecu for awhile until I have to pass emissions. The light for the for the automatic transmission came on so I knew that I wouldn't pass emissions that's why I went with the evo ecu.

Also do you know all the parts needed for the swap?

For the evo head or the sonata head swap? Sonata i found a tread with a parts list but not evo, but it never said anything about ecu swap that's why i was asking.

As of right now i am still auto tranny, i was thinking on swapping the head first bc i am doing head gasket right now and figured now would be good to do it. I am just saving now to get what i need while searching local jy's for 8g evo, if i don't find one ill do the sonata. In nashville area all the yards i have found sofar is nothing but one 02 lancer and it was stripped by the time i got to it, all that was left was the body lol.
