Like i said, i i already installed it. The only thing i could not separate was the maf from the air filter box.
It's not like i downgraded on purpose. I had to selll my 3000gt to pay my college classes. After i paid my classes i had enough for a 7g. I got it for $500 and i honestly needed something decent and driveable. End of story.

your gonna see like barely any hp gains from a cai. i went fully turbo for under 600 and was well worth it and takes less than a day to do....
u guys r noobs. PEANOTATION turboed his 7G more than 5 years ago, so he was way past dealing w/ an intake/airbox. he was just messing w/ u guys.
Or he meant you cant take it out and have the car run without it. That I think hasnt been done. But Reelax is right, Matt is a pimp with the 7G....wouldnt question him at all about the thing.

not hatin on the 7g, i was actually looking at buying one back in 04 but all the ones I looked at were shit (one had the whole passenger side filled with bondo, others were badly taken care off and i didnt really have the money for repairs), ended up with an 8g paid 5k for a 00 es and all the 7g's I were looking at were around the same price. i think i was looking at 96 to 98 7gs, i remember one of them had that bump on the hood for dohc, but it was sohc
