2002 Galant - Cold Air Instake Installation Problem...

I am trying to put a cold air intake on my 02 Galant but I am having one huge problem:

There is no way possible way for me to hook up my mass air flow sensor to it. I bought all the parts from Autozone (dont complain please, lol) and the only thing I could think of was that I would had the dremel out an area to fit it in.

What would be the best solution for this?

Also: If someone has boughten a cold air instake from an Autozone (I doubt anyone has here), could you tell me exactly what parts you bought.

    Thanks alot everyone!

ebay search MAF or MAS adapter. Plastic ones work, but you will be better of getting a metal one.

    Thans for the reply everyones.

I think due to my stupidity...I might have messed up my mass air flow sensor :(

The car stalled out on me three times when I was in reverse. And now sometimes when in idle the whole entire engine shakes back and forth with a somewhat violent force. Another problem I am having now is that when I put my petal all the way to the flor, I only accelerate at about 5 mph every two seconds. Last thing I noticed is that, it kind of hiccups when I am driving.

This is with stock parts on the car, nothing is aftermarket at all.

Is it possible I may have decalibrated it?

Not sure why I kept mispelling intake and saying 'instake'

sounds like you did mess it up i am not sure it you can calibrate it. did you un hook the battery when trying the install? if you damaged the honeycomb/wire it is f@!#ed you'll need a new one.

Check everything is plugged in correctly and that your MAF is not on backward or install your stock intake and see if you are getting the same symptoms. I had my whole engine shake violently on idle, stall out on reverse, and can't go pass 40 mph, but only because I had 1 connector accidently unclipped to a coilpack...

It looks like is not enough air going to the engine. Check the piping; make sure you are not restricting any air in. Unplug the negative battery for like 5 min. plug it back in start the car and let it idle for 10 min. The ECU has to relearn the amount of air coming in. Let us know what happen.
