You want see a big power increase unless you add things like aftermarket pistons, rods, valves, etc.

Might as well continue the money for a turbo setup then, huh. It'll be well into next year anyways.

I'm just wantn alot more passing power pretty much, im tired of not hardly have'n any power when i lay into it.

Here locally a bore job on a 4 cylinder is 90 bucks.. We had my gfs new block bored, honed, decked, line bored, new freeze plugs, 2g pistons on 1g rods, crank end of rods honed to spec, crank polished, everything hot tanked, valves re-seated, new valve stem seals, valve springs installed, head pressure tested.. The list goes on. At the end it was 799 bucks for just machine work alone.. All in all its worth getting the shit done correctly.

Comon you've been around here long enough now to know you cant make statements like this without someone picking up on it.

How is him adding forged rods, pistons, bigger valves, etc going to give him BIG power increases? Its not. The only way your getting BIG power increases is by going to some type of forced induction or a crazy high compression N/A setup. Pistons, rods, valves, etc SUPPORT the ability to sustain high power without blowing the engine. Making big power increases a joint effort between modifications and tuning. Boring an engine .020 over and putting in forged pistons and rods isnt going to produce a noticeable power increase, heck it might even make less power without other supporting mods.

There, was plenty of info i needed to hear. I understand its a 4 cyl an its not gonna have all kinds of power but im tired of not hardly being able to run some hondas an other stuff.

Ive got an 87 camaro with a 350, but my tranny has 1 & 2. So you cant rele go anywhere but that power feels great..so im searchn for somethin to do to my G where it will move bout like a big v6...without it takin 2,500 dollars.

So far I cant find anything...an prolly wont
