    gas pedal

    hi guys i have a problem w/ my 7g galant s, the gas pedal why is so sticky? what seems to be the problem? thanks guys

    its kinda hard to press the gas pedal its not smooth, maybe its the throttle cable?

    need to take out the throttle body and clean the carbon inside

    correct more then likely its carbon buildup in the TB it also wouldnt hurt to lube up the throttle cable as well

    I have this same problem on my '95. My throttle body is completely clean. The stickyness seems to be from the pulleys inside the cruise control unit. I silicone sprayed them and it helped some, but it's still a little sticky.
