WHAT: Mitsubishi Major Meet #2

WHEN: JUNE 4th, 5th, 6th, FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY!!

WHERE: MYRTLE BEACH SOUTH CAROLINA BROADWAY AT THE BEACH

WHY?: Because that's what we do annually!!

So, it's that time again, when hot summer nights start, but this year we are going to do it in Myrtle Beach SC. We all just decided to do it somewhere else this year. Last years Virginia Beach was a huge success, we had close if not more that 100 cars show up, even though it was raining. Cars ranged from EVOS, to Lancers, to Eclipses, to one 2009 Ralliart! We hung out at the Havens mall. Some of the VA guys showed us around airforce base which was cool as ****. Then we terrorized the local restaurants in search for that awesome burger, or a salad. I think we had a party of 40 in TGI's if I recall correctly. We took pictures on base, off base, next to power lines, begind Scotts Chineese restaurant, All I got to say we had a killer time.. We all sort of became friends, I still keep in touch with few of you guys.


Here we go, just like last time, if you are not a local to Myrtle Beach I would suggest leaving your house as earliest as possible.. If coming from VA, CT, NY, TN, MD, FL I would suggest you leave no later than 5 am, I mean pulling out of your driveway kind of way!! ( oh come on, make this sacrifice just this once, you have the rest of your life to sleep, its party time ). Trip from VA Beach took me 5 hours, so give yourselves enough time to get to Myrtle Beach, and check in to one of the local Hotels/motels, so you can have time to shower, eat something, and may be take a 1-2 hour nap before meet starts that night..

Thursday June 3rd.

-Have a relaxing day, get this day off from work if possible, ask your boss if you can leave work early that day if you work nights, so you can pack and get some sleep before the trip. GO TO BED EARLY. if you decide to come and checkin early to hotels make sure you book it for june 3-6. Some people may drive in on thursday!!

Friday June 4th

6:30 pm Meet up at Broadway at the Beach, ( its like a huge shopping center with night clubs and restaurants )

7:45pm We will do stuff differently here, bring a sandwitch and some drinks in the car with you, if we have loads of people out of town i dont wanna split anyone up and get lost, that way we can all hang on the parking lot, take pics, eat sandwithches, check out eatch others cars and talk ****. Please also DONT LITTER... and try not to do any burnouts!

9:30pm We will try to take a cruize to the strip ( ocean bulevard ) Traffic should be backed up, but thats where locals and tourists go to pick up girls. **IMPORTANT** Myrtle Beach has cops as any other town, please respect them and the law, we dont want you going home with bunch of tickets for tint, or loud music.. You will see them on bikes, golf carts. We will try to make a pass going south, and then one going north.

11-11:30 I figured this is the right time to call it a night untill saturday am.


SATURDAY JUNE 5th:


11am-4:30-5pm

Drag strip. 1/8 mile ( 10.00 to run ) unlimited runs.

5:30-6.00pm

Have fun guys. I just came back from Myrtle Beach and I had a blast. We stayed at the Paradise Resort on the beach and had the beach view penthouse, wasnt bad either it was about $135/night but that was divided 4 ways since there are 4 beds. Might I suggest for your late night entertainment you check out a fine establishment called Masters, you wont be disappointed.

Hey man dont put me down for the track. Im not going to go. Like i said before i wont be attending all the events because this trip is for my girlfriend as well. We plan on doing our own thing but we will meet up with you guys to hang out and maybe cruise the boulevard and for sure hit up the go carts!

holy crap thats alot of people. Im getting my car all dolled up and ready boyeee! Even if i dont tune for boost im still coming. I just wont be running hard. Im not worried about that anyways! I dont mind being the only galant ;-)

THIS JUST IN: Sunday June 6th we have been invited to the myrtle beach drift series..

Where: Myrtle Beach Speedway
When: June 6th, 2010
Time: TBD probably 12 noon or 1pm
What: Myrtle Beach Speedway Drift Series!!!
What: Come and watch the drift cars take corners so close to the wall you can feel it! Wing eating contest, Sponsored by HOOTERS girls who also will be there!!!! ALso there will be space to do some 1/8 mile drag runs, The track is a NASCAR track, but we have been doing drag racing on the longer straight away of this track.

PRICE: TBD probably 5-10$$$

Hmmmmm. I may have to tattend the drifting. ive never seen it before. Ill talk to the GF and see whats up. She may not want to do the car thing all weekend.. Oh well.

* Clean Underwear
* Umbrella and/or Poncho
* Good Attitude
* Flashlight
* Folding Chair

* Detailing Supplies
* Window Cleaner and Rags
* Bug Spray
* Snacks and Drinks
* Batteries for: Camera, Flashlight, Etc.
* Sun Screen
* Laptop for tuning ( if you have Tacktrix open port 2.0 bring that, there will be tuners on site who might wanna make some extra cash, you know who you are, software ECU scan, and evo scan )




Pre Meet checklist!!


Oil – Close to 5K mark on current Oil? Go for an early change.

Under Hood Check –Look for leaks, broken/worn engine mounts, worn plug wires

Transmission Oil – If near 2 years or 50K miles - Change it

Brakes – Check Rotors and Pads – Have at least 50% left

Brake Fluid – If near 1 year or 25K miles – Change it

Coolant – Mitsu recommends every 4 years from build date for a change, every 2 years would not hurt.

Tires – Tread level should be at least ½, check for uneven wear

Wheels – Check Torque on Lug Nuts.

Wipers – Replace blades if older – you never know about pop up T-storms in MB

Lights – Check all lights to verify operation

Battery – good condition, make sure is securely fastened and that charge is at least 75% or 12.45V

Suspension – Check all bushings for wear, replace as needed

Steering – Check for wear – replace anything questionable, Alignment would not hurt

Exhaust – Secure with no leaks, check mounts

Wheel Bearings – Check for excessive play


These are just few things that you should do before a long trip!

My checklist is complete. Fortunately last night i decided to drive my car. My ac tensioner bearing went bad. I wasnt going to drive it until the day i leave but fortunately i didnt decide to do that. Its fixed and im ready to go. Just have to go get my spare. Ill have my tactrix cable and laptop but im not paying for my car to be tuned. Im coming un-tuned so i dont do something stupid and get my ass locked up or blow my motor. So by not tuning i cant push the car hard which is a wise idea for me. No worries though. The ecu still takes care of the car as long as im not in boost ;-). See you friday!
