    Questions about 5spd swap.

So I was searching for clutch kits to see what some alternatives to ACT 2100 are and I was wondering if anyone noticed that 2.4L eclipses share performance clutches with a lot of mitsus/dodges/plymouths.

The cars that we should be able to share performance clutch kits with are:
    1989-1992 EAGLE TALON TSI L4 2.0 N/A 6Bolt Crank
    1989-1992 PLYMOUTH LASER RS L4 2.0 N/A 6Bolt Crank
    1990-1992 MITSUBISHI GALANT GSX L4 2.0 ALL
    1992-1995 MITSUBISHI EXPO BASE ; SP L4 2.4 4G64
    1990-1999 MITSUBISHI 3000GT BASE ; SL ; SPYDER SL V6 3.0 6G72
    1991-1992 MITSUBISHI GALANT VR-4 L4 2.0 ALL
    1992-1996 PLYMOUTH COLT VISTA ; VISTA SE L4 2.4 N/A
1992-1999 EAGLE TALON TSI L4 ALL EBG 7Bolt Crank
    1991-1999 DODGE STEALTH BASE ; ES ; R/T ; R/T SPORT V6 3.0 ALL
    1992-1995 EAGLE SUMMIT BASE ; DL ; LX L4 2.4 N/A
    1993-1995 MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOLUTION II ; EVOLUTION III L4 2.0 4G63T
    1992-1994 PLYMOUTH LASER RS L4 2.0 N/A 7Bolt Crank
    1992-1999 ECLIPSE BASE ; GS ; GST ; GSX ; SPYDER ; SPYDER GST L4 2.0 4G63 ; 4G63T 7Bolt Crank
1993-1994 MITSUBISHI EXPO LRV BASE ; SPORT L4 2.4 ALL
    1993-1994 DODGE COLT 4X4 ; BASE ; SE L4 2.4 ALL
    1994-1997 MITSUBISHI GALANT DE ; ES ; GS ; LS ; S L4 2.4 4G64
    1996-2005 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE BASE ; GS ; SPYDER ; SPYDER GS L4 2.4 4G64
    1989-1992 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE GS ; GSX L4 2.0 ALL 6Bolt Crank

I checked 3 different clutch manufacturers and all the parts numbers lined up perfectly. Except for OEM clutch kits, which probably has to due with different torque requirements on stock engines.

This is my question, sorry to call you our Craig.

That is a quote from Romans 5spd swap thread. It stands to reason, in my mind, that to use a stock starter I can still use any of the clutch kits for the cars above with an OEM 3G resurfaced flywheel correct? The reason I am asking is because there may be some type of performance clutch kit only listed for a car above at a decent price and I think it should fit. Either way still an interesting topic.

I will be posting more questions possibly as my swap furthers. I missed delivery of my tranny and parts today, they will be here monday :)

The OE clutch kits on the 3000GT fwd is same specs as 3G eclipse 2.4 except the spline diameter is the same as ACT 2100. OE 3G is .8125 and OE 3kGT is .875

My set-up is 3g flywheel with 2g clutch. you can use the 2g clutch on the 3g flywheel.

That wasnt my question maybe it was the way you worded it, but you made it look like I cant use any clutch from a 2G when they are actually the same. Its the flywheel that makes the difference.

Either way I may have found my setup Clutch Masters FX200 with Clutch Masters Aluminum Flywheel 10lbs with 2G flywheel bolts. Now I just need to get the misc stuff like pedals, mount, slave cylinder(gonna get from Kyle)

Is there anyone in NY/NJ area that can do the install for me besides Roman for a fee. The only reason I say that is cause I dont have the 500 to pay Roman right now as I just paid for school, but I do have some cash.

Alright Brian Ill let you know I was trying to get it all in by Corona, but worst comes to worst I will just go 5spd turbo at same time as most of the turbo parts are in room already.

Brian said he would do it for me later on this summer probably closer to August September, but I may just cave and pay the 500 to Roman who can do it in like 2 hours or something lol.

I am still accumulating parts, so I wont know when, where, how I am getting it done until I have everything pieced. I would do it in my driveway, but I prefer people with knowledge and experience who have done it as G is still my daily.
