    6G75 8G Action Videos

After a week and a half of driving around with my newly-swapped 6G75, I figured it was only right to make a few short videos. None are past 1/2 throttle yet while I wait to get this thing tuned, though it does sound great so far.

Side note: SES light was checked with a scanner at work, and it's nothing major. PO420. I have yet to add the spark plug defouler in the rear O2 sensor.

1st Video - Start up and cold idle.

2nd Video - Slow acceleration and holding 3rd gear.

3rd Video - Half-throttle acceleration starting in 1st gear to the posted 55mph.

4th Video - Driving by with slight acceleration to hear the beautiful exhaust tone of the 75 through RPW Headers, no cat, and 2000 Eclipse GT Muffler.

Thanks for the kind words everybody. Much appreciated. In the next few weeks I'll get this thing out to the track and see how it goes since the break-in period for the clutch is just about finished. When that happens I'll be sure to post the results.

Alright Travis. I'm up for it. Do it big and go MIVEC!

How many miles you have on it untuned so far?

It is great sounding and I dont know how you have the patience to break in the clutch. I dont want to put on my turbo before I finish 5spd and breaking in clutch.

Holy shit, that 2nd video was half throttle?? Thats thing looks like it moves out fairly well. When are you getting it tuned? and through what?

I have between 475-485 miles on it so far. So far everything feels fine. The only OBDII code has been the P0420. I have yet to hook up the Genisys EVO 3.0 to monitor it's running conditions but I'm hoping to get to that this week.

I don't know how I have the patience either. I'm extremely impatient waiting to get things done or make things happen, but for some reason I've been able to be easy on it so far.

Jigz, I'm probably picking up an Emanage Ultimate locally on Friday. Most likely if I get it, I'm hoping to start installing it Saturday after I finish lowering a friend's Forester 2.5XT.

if i remember correctly the p0420 is an oxygen sensor or catalytic converter. cant remember which one exactly.

For half throttle the RPMs are up there pretty quick. The P0420 code could be a mix of things, but given the swap and no tune, it may be fair to say the engine is running extremely lean and given the timing differences between the 72 and 75 ROMs I bet the ECU is "fighting" to make appropriate adjustments.

You really gotta get that thing tuned before driving anymore man, even if it is half throttle. With the stock ROM file on the 72 its typical to see anywhere from 6-7 counts of knock with nothing done, running the 75 on that ROM you could easily be hitting some higher (dangerous) knock counts. Really don't want to see you kill this engine so just looking out for you here...

He's actually running the 74 injectors I believe? I wonder how the AFR is doing right now with no tune. For the 6G74 swap he would be running pig rich, but I wonder how that extra .3L affects it
