Mitsubishi Newbie Here

Hello,

Very new to the mitsubishi world...and I am looking at purchasing a 2009 Galant ES.

What do I need to know about this vehicle...

32K miles on the odometer
Sunroof
Mp3 Single CD Player
4cyl
Auto

Has the remainder of the Factory Warranty...

Are there any huge issues with this vehicle that will arise in the next 40-60k miles...

Any info will help...

Just check if it was a rental previously. I've seen the rentals/leases beat up pretty bad pretty quick. 32K in one year (if it was originally bought in 2009) is a little high compared to the average miles per year, so most probably it was a lease or a rental. The thing that you should check is if the oil has been changed on time and the air filters are ok. A lot of times, leases and rentals don't do this, as the customers don't bring the cars back, or there is a very short turn around time.

I'm pretty sure that if you're buying it from a dealer, it would look really good after their nice detailing. Take the car for a spin and see if it has a quiet engine, I've noticed that the 09s have a reasonably loud raspy engine. The other thing leases/rentals run low on air in the tires often. Check to see if there is any irregular tire wear.

Everything else should be ok for the next 45-60K, good luck.

I bought a 09 a few months back...and the only thing i noticed was that loud engine. I thought the engine was going to purr since it was an 09 and the previous car i was driving was setting off car alarms everytime i started it...

but nothing big to be worried about...
I'm loving mines and also loving my monthly payments...so enjoy!!
