CPS can be fixed?

hi people,
I check my other distributor (PO340 fail too :@) **CPS IMAGE** and note that the CPS will not fit in the part it need to hit, take some pictures, paint the part that hits the camshaft sensor to see if they hit, but no. **PART IMAGE**

so, my cuestion is, it can be the PO340 fail? because that part dont hit the CPS (contact)


if i modify the part to hit the sensor it will work again?
