yea Redgalant i didnt want to put the 8 ohms because im figuring he would get 225 watt total to try and run two type R's. (to me) its a waste of time and a decent amp.

and OP about your box type i have only heard one sealed box in my whole car audio stent
that i liked, im a ported guy all the way (i like deep bass). i heard that 08-pres 12" type R's like 2-2.25 cft (not including port area)

Alright, Well the guy i had ordered the subs off of says he cant send them now an is refunding my money so I been Kinda p.oed, But im jus ordering a brand new model set now, I knew hifonics had like, 2 speaker outputs, but i thot if u ran em seperatd each at 1 ohm it would be a final of 1 ohm still?? i didnt kno it wasnt like that.

    I figure now 2 SWR-1223d on a Brutus BXI-1610d @ 2ohms will be good?

well why not just buy the 1243ds its the dual 4ohm option and stick to your original plan?

So you think i should run em at 1 ohm on the BXI-1210d? an i read on alpine. com that the dual 2 ohm version hit a lil bit lower bass?? or do they jus sound the same an thats jus bs?

since 1200 watts is the max you can put out and the RMS of your subs i would go with it.
anything else would be over kill but a bit of headroom isnt to bad as long as you vvvvv
    get dual 4ohm subs
    dont crank the gain level
and keep above 12 volts going to the amp

oh and the lower bass part depends on what type of music you listen to but over all it wont be noticeable

ok then, Yea ill get the 1600w rms then an ill have plenty of extra power so im not run'n my amp to death and i listen to everything so ok.

Thanks Ricky, an everyone else. Ill prolly be thrown some vids on youtube soon too.

most importantly is to follow the break in period for your subs. start hammering them too soon and you run a high risk of popping the cone.

how long should i wait?..ive never known how long it usully ake

it should be on the papers with the speaker but ill look it up...its a specific amount of play time at 1/4-1/2 power. when i got my xtypes i just drove the car for two days just play the speakers the alotted time and get away from the oldlady.

oh and becarefull if its cold out where you live. let the car warm up inside first during break in. its not on alpines site but it works out to be around 4h1/4pw 4h1/2pw 2h3/4pw Then crank it.

I always broke them in by living the gains all the way down for a few weeks. Then never past 1/2 to 3/4.

thats about the right timing Red. most people wont just drive around for 5hrs a day for two days just to break in the speakers. then again im a nut so i did it....what who said that ..ill eat your heart with a spoon...........
