7g Galant Rim offset question

Hey guys , i've got a year 2000 8g Mistibishi Galant GLX (New Zealand model , similar to a jap VR-G ) with stock 14x5.5j 4 x 114.3 steelies on 195/65/r14.I'm wondering if i can put these 14x6.5j 4x 114.3 alloys on , with a really high offset of 48mm without any problems. Thanks for helping a noob out.
