01 Diamante VR-X Factory Fender Flares to 8G?

While working at DHL I saw a 2001 Diamante (LS or VR-X). Nothing interesting same ol stock stuff. But what got me interested was the factory fender flare. For those who might know this: isn't the wheel base on a Diamante the same as an 8g (I don't know, please confirm this on wiki?). They look so similar if I can only get my hands on one I can at least fit it for evaluations. Just throwing this into the air.

i never even thought of that; and i've worked with a guy with a vrx for the last 2 years. i'll have to con him into letting me rip his car apart for the sake of research...or at least let me make some tracings with cardboard for matching purposes

i actually saw a VR-X the other day on the street and thought of the same exact thing lol. But i dont see them that often enough
