Head Bolts strecth? and torque spec for Head bolts on 4g64

I'm replacing my head gasket and was wondering if the head bolts stretch when torqued from the factory if so i would need new ones. so do the head bolts stretch when torqued?

what is the torque spec for a 4g64 head bolts and pattern?

    thanx

yes yes yes. head bolts are all considered "torque-to-yield" style and should be replaced every time you remove them. people sometimes manage to get away without, but there's too many problems that can occur if something goes wrong. specs in a minute...

    edit: ok, torque as follows:

    1. torque all bolts to 58 lb/ft
    2. completely loosen all bolts but do not remove
    3. torque all bolts to 15 lb/ft
    4. tighten all bolts 90 degrees clockwise
    5. tighten all bolts 90 degrees clockwise again

    pattern is like this:

    Intake side
    8 6 1 3 9
    10 4 2 5 7
    Exhaust side

    hope that makes sense

thanx that's what i did i found the specs somewhere else.

i read also that the bolts are still use able specifically for the 4g64 if they are shorter than 99.4mm mine all were around 97.

maybe you should get some ARP head studs for the evo?
