    30psi on stock automatic tranny???

I just saw a video on youtube, that you probably already seen, so it is possible to keep a auto rather than do a 5spd swap.

If you have someone rebuild it for you, most likely. But it would be way cheaper to go 5-speed.

I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little rockier than this.

the prob is that the auto tranny will not last long.

you can keep the auto but it would be much more ideal to have a 5 speed to go with it

It may be cheaper, I would have a shop do the swap anyways but all of the local shops that i talked to turn the idea down. A rebuild my be my only option.

I can't find any adequate 5spd tutorials, if there are any, can any of you point me in the right direction.

Depending on where you live maybe someone from TGC could help you who knows. Just read up on it there's a ton of threads about the 5-speed swap. Going 5-speed is just an overall better option.

how can you not??....there are so many topics covered if you look. i myself created a bunch of threads regarding the swap when i ran into trouble and ik there are a bunch because i read through all of them before i started the 5 speed. you can do a search for specifics and can find the tutorial in "How To Tutorials"

the tranny in that car was built by ITP. There is about $4,000 into that tranny. A stock tranny will not hold that.

You mean her fender lol and I saw her the other day at best buy when I was x-mas shopping at gateway mall. She is busy doing the family things these days. That car has seen 2 stock trannys and it's on the 3rd one which is the built one. I remember running that car a couple of times around the city. I miss the good old days ;-)
