    How to replace timing belt on 8G 99 V6

    It is time to replace my timing belt, water pump...etc....
    is it hard to do it myself?. I'm not a mechanic man, I just replaced my spark plug previously.

    any suggestions? does any turtorials?

    If this is your first attempt, you need someone with some mechanic skills to be at your side before tackling this.

    or... you could get a haynes manual... it helps alot with pictures and what not...

    Remember, some people are dyslexic (sp?) and one even graced here having a Haynes manual at hand WITH pictures and couldn't understand it (hunter clavel)

    I replaced transmission in my previous car, but I would not touch the timing belt myself. If you skip a tooth when reinstalling you might do some serious damage to valves anr pistons.

    I would highly recommendd having soeone else there who has done it before.
