DOHC swap*need help*

I've been looking all over the place and i can't find a complete list of the parts i need for the 4g64 ti 4g63t head swap..can anyone give me the full list plzzzz????

And also can i use any 4g63t head from any year for this swap on my 03 4g64 long block???

Only EVO VIII heads from mitsu, JDM EVO heads work but if you need a part probably your going to imports it from japan and its going to take a while,

also you can use 99-03 sonata or 00-05 kia optima heads.

Search for DOHC and you should find the info, also look on club3g.com

ok..how will the evo8 ecu work since i have a automatic tranny???

go to search and type dual ecu read johnathangalants tutorial it will help with anything you want to know about ecu setup although if your still n/a i think the evo head runs fine with our stock ecu though im not 100% sure youd have to ask some1 whos tried it.

Can i use OE rods and pistons for an Evo 8 for this swap?

the rods should be the same length but the pistons on the evo wont work i believe they are a bit smaller then ours but the rods are the same from 4g63 to 4g64

Evo pistons wont work as the bore size on our motors are bigger you would have to get search around for piston made for a 4g64 with a 4g63 head, i think wiseco makes them as does j and e.

yeah 88mm stroke crank on the 4g63 and 100mm stroke crank on the 4g64

It looks like you did the swap already so approx how mch did you spend on this project??? and did u go with all upgraded internals?

I have about $10k into my engine setup, including engine, turbo, manifolds, cooling system, fuel system. My engine is built, all upgraded internals.
