    Diamante Mani questions need help.

So I'm thinking about putting on the Diamante mani n I have questions like is it direct bolt? Do I have to tweak anything? In general what do I do? lol All input is welcome thanks fellas.

I think you have to swap the sensors other than that I think it bolts up..

take it from somebody who has done it. You will have a much easier time if you use the diamante's vacuum setup as well. All wiring is the same, but it is best to extend the wire for the map sensor. Check out page 2 of my build thread. I have a link there to my photobucket folder with a lot of pictures

Holy hell that looks like a lot of work lol. Knowing me I'll probably end up with a vacuum leak lol jk. What does it exactly do??? Push more air into the engine? More horsepower? Is it an easy job? Is it worth it? Gotta know before I start ripping stuff apart. I'm not really a performance kind of mechanic I mostly work off of ALLDATA If i'm not sure what to do or how to do something. Details would be GREAT!!!

It's actually not that difficult. It's almost the same as removing your stock manifold and putting it back on. It's just a matter of understanding where the vacuum lines go. They are all in pretty much similar spots to the 6G72 manifold, and if not, they're self explanatory.

The design of the Diamante manifold is much better and I believe allows for better airflow. This has to do with the spacing of the runners, shape of the tank, etc.

it's not too bad corey. The diagram on C3G works fine, however I used the entire setup from my spare 6G74 and it didn't require any cutting or re-routing of the vacuum setup. Maybe you can be lucky enough to find one from a local yard.

I'm a stubborn guy though lol. I'm sure I can find one in the jy no problem. I'm in engine term at school right now maybe I should pay more attention lol but I'm too broke lol. jkjkjk I mean I'm sure I can do it but like some on here get lazy or don't have the time. But compared to the 6g72 do you notice the difference right away? I'm gonna check club3g again n look. The more info I get the more intriguing it sounds n makes me really really wanna do it lol. Keep the info coming guys lmao.

N as far as going to the jy I can probably get the entire setup off whatever diamante I find.

^ Yeah Rockrimmon is ridiculous they wanted to charge me $80 for a steering knuckle when I could get it online brand new for $83 shipped. Luckily I ended up not needing it though. lol. I've been meaning to go to center this week but haven't found the time to go.

Matt would it be possible to get all the vacuum hoses n everything I would need from the jy???

it wouldn't be a problem if the yards around here had them.

Corey you can probably actually just use your existing vacuum lines. Maybe buy a couple extra feet of tubing. But if not (and this is probably easier) where ever you get the manifold, just grab everything that's attached to it.
