5 spd tranny rebuild

does any one have a step by step to taking apart the 3g eclipse 5 spd tranny all I really want to do is crack it open and clean out all the old fluid before I get it ready to go back in I just want to make sure theres nothing to contaminate the new fluid

dont mess with that. just fill it with cheap fluid, put 50 miles on it, dump the fluid, repeat that process about 2-3 times and it should be pretty well flushed. Besides you will never get ALL the old fluid out without a complete teardown, meaning seperating each gear/hub/slider, etc and cleaning all the parts and then hot tanking the case and bellhousing, totally overkill.
