    Sub box question

So the system that came with my car when my dad repo'ed it has 2 pioneer 12's in a box that is supposed to be sealed, but the box has two holes in the back where the wires come out. Would they sound better and get a better response if i sealed the box with terminal cups or something?

    Thanks!
    Nick

IMO Sealed boxes have a crisper sound. Thats what I have in my car. So I would sat get a sealed box.

awesome advice, exactly what I was think.

Anyone know where I could get some terminal cups or something with quick release terminals to seal it for cheap?

i made a sub box in my carpentry class, i have 2 12's, but for some reason, they are not sounding as good as they did at first. I had them in two different boxes, now i have them in one, what coul be the problem?

it could be that your a thread jacker lol j/k
its easy really your subs are sharing air now so responce is a little off if its a sealed box
if its a ported box then it can be one of two things
1 you changed the air space (smaller internal space)
or 2 your port frequency has want up due to less port space as pre-fab boxes are just made in bulk and made to look good.
