Eclipse GT muffler on my 4banger

i did alot of searching for mufflers and exhaust...i had a N1 ebay cat back but that didnt last cops noticed me a mile away...too many problems in cali with modifying cars...i decided to put the stock on, but i really missed the exhaust sound.. i wanted something that looked like a "stock" exhaust but also have a deep tone..i heard someone reccommending the Eclipse muffler..so i decided to have one welded onto my car...
THis is how it sounds... i only have the ghetto intake mod....

all in all im pretty happy with it
    GT muffler= 30.00 (craigslist)
    10inches of pipe = 5.18 (pep boys)
local welder = 40.00 (greedy jew) ....no offense but he said 20 and when he got there mother f%cker ask for 50.00....whaterever

75.00 not bad dont you think??

40 isn't bad. The place I went to charged 60 bucks just to weld on my magnaflow. Granted, they had to weld on brackets and bend a little bit of piping, but it wasn't much

Sounds pretty good. Not overly loud with a nice tone. Good job.

Nothing after market about it? Straight off a v6 Eclipse? That sounds pretty good.

If it ain't broke, i'm still fixin' it.

Sounds pretty good. I bought my brother a stock eclipse gt muffler to put on his 420a talon. We're going to weld it up and see how it sounds hoping to get rid of most of the rasp.

You just changed the muffler? You didn't remove the cat or anything?

Exhaust tone is generally personal preference. But on a V6 you will get a sound similar to this. Do keep in mind this is with headers, no cat, and almost 1L larger in displacement than most V6 8G's.

Sounds pretty good. What wheels do you have on it? Where'd you get the muffler?

I know, when i was buying the exhaust i kept youtubing "EClipse GT stock exhaust" clips and i loved the way the v6 sounded... mines a little bit close to it but just imagine if i had SRI or CAI and performance header and v6 throttle body..prolly sound way different.. but for now im happy with it. especially freeway driving is pretty much quiet and at idle.....you only hear it when you punch the gas..no homo cops will pull me over this time.....
and my wheels are stock 16in from an eclipse i think 2002 or 04
