I looked at the gear you picked and I think you need 1 of each, the other 1 is OEM 4G64 Cam Gear: Mitsubishi Eclipse #20294 . Not a whole lot of info about it there hope that helps.

I don't see the point in buying gears (unless you go all out and need adjustable) as they are exactly the same except for a little mark.
for the timing covers the 2g upper and lower are the same exact part number.

as for the middle timing cover, the dohc 4g64 has its own part number

    MD191813

the 2g part numbers are MD191811 for early 95 and the rest were MD191807

i went to the dealer and bought the 1994 galant GS headgasket. the 63 headgasket doesnt have the same bore for the cylinders and whould hav to be bored to just get the 64 dohc one, unless its an MLS 86.5mm or 87mm(20 over) bore 63 gasket

ya thats what i thought mine is the identical gasket that came on the car. if u look at this link http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...2289&ppt=C0026 and click on compatibility at the bottom it shows this for a 94 Galant gs dohc wtf!!! i also got my freeze plugs today and only one fit right the others are to big or to small. i hate oriellys they prolly didnt even give me the right timing belt. also as for the timing belt it says the sohc and dohc timing belts are compatable how do they figure. im going down there in a bit cuz this is bull.

yep all of this stuff is being brought back its pretty rediculous though. we only have a chrysler/dodge/ford dealership in my town i think they should be able to get mitsu parts though. how much did the belt and the headgasket cost from the dealer?

yes but i am doing freeze plugs. there is somewhere on here where the correct plug sizes are listed by seth or peano but i dont know where anymore. i know you are in a hurry but search for that tonight, get all the right parts then do it, dont leave a weak link. thats why i still need 3000+ just in parts to finish my new motor. not one used part besides the block and the head.

ya i got the 1/2" 5/8" and 11/16" plugs earlier and they werent the right size cuz oriellys screwd that up also outa 5 they got the 1/2" plug that was the right size so i was just down there for a hour and a half and they have it all figured out now. they were baffled on the headgasket they cant even get a headgasket for a 94 galant gs dohc. as for the timing belt i got the correct one and they got out there micrometer and got me the right freeze plugs ordered brass and steel they orered like 10 differnt boxes just so i can pick out the right ones i need. two guys were searching in every book they had for the headgasket and they couldnt figure it out so im going to the dealer tomorow to order that.
