    7g turbo diesel from Poland

Hi I'm new here. I want to shere with you with my project

    Plan:
    - Swap from 4D68T to 4G63
    - Install a turbo from EVO (don't have idea wich one first I must swap engine and than I'll thing about it)
    - 4WD swap

My dad bought a 7g galant after 2 years he damaged cooling fan and after that he blow up a head cylinder... My dad parked him on a front yard and forgot about him for 3 years. 2 years ago he decided to scrap him so I decided to give him another chance and it all started

    Specification:
    Engine: 4D68T 2.0TD 8v, old diesel everything is mechanical 90PS, 197Nm
Transmission: 5 speed manual ( like the most of galants in europe)

My dad had a little crash with Ford Transit so he looks like this

I bought head cylinder from Mitsubishi Space Wagon and a new coolin fan.
I needed to do something with brakes because eveything fall in to rust after 3 years
    So I started regeneration

next step was war with rust
All front of the car was full of holes, thresholds where rotted from half of front door to the end

Fixing this things took 2 months

And I installed new front bumper from V6 model with a little lip

After 2 months he looked like this

And than i started to think what to do with engine he got low compression and cylinders are almost eliptic so I decided about swap there where a lot of options 3.0 V6 24v from a Mitsubishi Sigma in US called Magna, a 2.5 V6 from 7generation Galant (E88A) or 2.0 4G63 from 1g Eclipse ( 4G63T is unable to find in Poland in good condition)
I decided to swap for 4G63 6 bolt and install a turbo to him now I'm looking for one.

    This is my 4D68T

Last week a found out that I almost don't have a floor so we'll have to wait with swap and do this first

    Some new photos:

Thanks for reading and sorry for my english :)

hehe in Poland you can buy a diesel 7g for hmmm... 900dolars? heh
    14sek from 0 to 60
And it's no tunable you can do what you want with it and it will never reach 100HP heh

It's pure JDM model in my country you can find also this versions:
    1.8 4 cylinder 113HP (E52A)
    2.0 4 cylinder 132HP (it's 4G63 SOHC) (E55A)
    2.0 V6 150HP (E54A)
    2.5 V6 170HP 4x4 4ws non-turbo (E88A)
and some time's are your 2.4 4 cylinder US version

2.0 V6 Twin Turbo VR4 <-- there is probably no such a car in whole my coutry it's like myth for as

I saw that a most of 7g on this forum is US version with 4G64 or legendary for my VR4

This diesel is old construction from older galants in 6 generation this engine was 1.8 non turbo in 7g is 2.0 turbo and in 8generation it's allso 2.0 turbo diesel

You don't need to convert it to bio this engine will go on everything

Ohh and I got another interesting info my car is 1992 year heh the JDM Galant were in production from dicember 92 to latte 96

There is still a lot of work to do.. I need to do something with that floor and a next thing is engine swap to 6g galant GTI engine (4G63 non turbo 6bolt) I'll be probably first owner of 7g galant with 4G63 DOHC engine in central europe.

If there is any questions about JDM Galants I can try to hellp

I must say you people got in US version beautiful taillights

In my model if you look closer you see that we don't have brake ligts on the trunk we got fog lights in there...

I'm thinking about change to US version taillights and install a fog light in rear bumper

allrice4g64 that's true if you don't push it to much it will ride for ages... there nothing that can broke up in this engine it's a simple construction there is no throttle body, no electic, ECU is only for glow plugs, injection pump is on timing belt...

haha i'm glad you think we have beautiful tailights. personally i always thought they were OK....but nothing compares to JDM tails (see my sig pic)

if you want I have a full set of USDM taillights that i would sell for cheap; i want to get rid of them. only thing is they are niteshaded:

No thanks I got a lot of other stuff to do now like floor or engine... Are you got some photos of JDM lights at night? They look really nice I must think about them but it will be really hard to find the JDM lights
