was wondering if the stock size was 2.25 or 2.5
if so would 2.5 or 3' be the best for performance and sound?

stock is 2.25'' and it wouldnt hurt if you had 2.5''. 3'' is a big overkill. believe me i had that on N/A engine

like all above said, 2.5" for natural aspiration, and 3" for turbocharged cars.
so if you planning on turbo your G then go for the 3" tho, otherwise would be a big mistake running a huge exhaust size for a natural aspiration you will lose power and specially torque.! .02cents

i had full 3 inch on my car with magna flow cat and magnaflow oem style muffler and i lost no power. if you have a cat and proper resonators and muffler like your suppose to 3 inch wouldnt be overkill.
    2.4 dohc turbo, 10 psi,small 16g, evo 3 02 housing,98 flashable ecu,maft,3inch magnaflow exhaust,aem wideband,blitz turbo timer,egt gauge,balance shaft delete,a/c delete,battery in trunk,arp headstuds,fmic,mbc, (Wiseco 8:7:1 pistons coming soon.)

and which exhausts would you guys recomend. I don't really want a deep throaty sound (like was on my transam) but don't want a high pitched POS ricer sound either. Does that help explain what I'm looking for? Lol
