The blow out does look pretty crazy, and fortunately when it happened I was only doing about 55 on the freeway, so it really just felt like the car dropped instantly in the right rear no swerve or fishtale. And I was surprised the wheel didn't receive damage since I rode the shoulder to a lighted area (billboard) that was about 1/4 mile. Probably a defective tire, it was only 2 months old, pressure kept at 35.
Anyway, it's good to have warranty, here's the new grip.
