I can spray primer and base with no problem. But I suck at spraying clear lol.

First coat of base.

After the Second coat of clear

There are few clear coat runs on the front bumper, a spot on the rear visor where a drop of water snuck past the water separator and got into the paint. And I knocked the grille of the stool after the first coat of clear and it got banged up so I put it aside so I can redo it.

I just purchased 2001 8g JDM tails, the amber colored ones.....are those hard to come by? $ 190 shipped....

Those are the aspire tail lights aka the super vr4 tail lights. I wouldn't consider them hard to come by cuz few members have them including me and they r on eBay quiet often

Gotcha, I haven't seen these on ebay for quite a while, just recently they were up there again and I said why not lol, purchased from the owners website rather than ebay though....bumped down from original 128+shipping...

looks pretty good for a first paint job, just remember its a learning process, it takes time to get really good at it.

I'm not upset with it at all. I actually think I did great. Just gonna let it sit for the weekend and next week ill take care of the runs and wet sand it. Then redo the grille and finally mount everything. Side skirts needs trimming and fitting then I can shoot those another time but they can wait lol

Paint looks good! when I was scrolling down and saw the first layer of clear coat, I was like "oh, damn..." but they following pics cured that. haha

I got them from a site called rpm garage, nice site, I am also looking at full front conversion, but that is something for next spring.

Haha my bad man, the very first pic shows the first layer of base coat not clear coat. Following pics are after two layers of clear coat. I wasn't very specific in my description lol

yes I did, I did leave a link to a set (not amber'd) for sale on ebay for nearly 3 times the price, and as those are an ebay item, they are probably replicas

That is why I went to direct site talked to them, those ebay ones.....do they even come with the harness? I made sure mine did....always good to ask before buying. Also rpm has an offer option which I liked.

they have close up picture of the brand it shows in raised letter "koito" which are replicas right, still can't beat a set of amber 3g tails for 150 ish.
