Seafoamed the G yesterday then did the first oil change in my new garage. That smoke show was funny as hell. A few of the neighbors were sticking their heads out and giving me funny looks.

  4. #7604
does the seafoam help clean out your cats too or just engine components?

I doubt it. I'm reading mixed reviews about Seafoam being able to clean the cat converter. But it definitely smoothed out my rough idle and acceleration.

So I drove around today, all was fine, until I went out to lunch. I came back to my car, tried to start it, and nothing. No crank, no clicks, nothing. No interior lights, nothing electrical worked.

I couldn't figure it out. The terminals were tight, the battery had 12.7 volts, it should have done something. So I looked at the ground cable from battery to body, and if you touched it, green dust came out the portion of wire were the copper was exposed.

Damn thing dry rotted out completely, gave me no warning. Hooked up a jumper cable from the negative battery terminal to the ground point, and she started right up! I was scared that it would come loose while I drove back to the shop, so I kept the hood from closing completely and drove 10 mph all the way back to work. Got there and used some 1 AWG to make a temporary ground cable, it's been fine ever since.

Ignore that rusty hold-down, I've been too lazy to change it , it still works. Check yall ground cables, make sure they're not too corroded out.

I got 30' of 0 AWG packed away somewhere, oxygen-free tinned copper, high quality stuff. I plan on using it as soon as I move. I'm gonna keep this here, but I'm gonna cut it down, it's too long.

Well got my m3 style lip spoiler on I like it. Would post pics but because I painted it gloss black its difficult to see in picture. Question though. Some how I got about 2 light hair surface scratches. Probably no bigger than a cm. No idea how other than the paint still being a lil soft. Is it possible to polish out after the paint hardens? Its gloss spray paint btw with no clear.

Well cancel the idea of a lip spoiler. Messed it up tryna touch up a scratch. I have the worst luck with spray paint. Should've just payed to get it painted by a pro. Money wasted.
