I just bought 2 Viper VSS5000 Smart Start w/ security systems from DEI directly for $200 each!! I love my Best Buy perks. One of the systems will replace the Python 991 system in my car, the other will be going in the new vehicle me and my fiancée get!

Has the employee price gone up, when I was there it was cost+5%, which was way cheaper than the online retailer prices. $200 Is still a bit cheaper than online.
But then again in 2006 Circuit City was still around BBY had to be more competitive.....

I did one on a motor home, it's pretty cool to be away from your car and know it's all good. The guy I did it for leaves his RV in storage for the summer, he Don't want people going through it.

It is still cost +5%. Best buy doesn't sell the vss5000 in store or online. They only sell the vsm200, vss3000,and vss4000. The vss5000 has a msrp of $600

DEI probably only made a buck off you, cuz the cheapest I've seen online is $280.
Good deal man, sometimes I want to go back to BBY and just work one day for 4hrs just to get the discount, it's so sweet if you're an electronics NERD, like most of us here are. But with the snow birds back in town here in the desert, MRI is busy busy busy.

After swapping for the Outlander IM, I had to relocate the dipstick tube. Guess the place I chose didnt workout to well bcz the hood was hitting the handle of the dipstick and ended up snapping off. One day I opened the hood to see this...

So lucked up at the junkyard and found an 8G dipstick. I cut it down to a size that wouldnt hit the hood of the car anymore, & voila!
