Exactly..I prefer 6000 (still kinda blue) or lower. Because its more visibility and less unwanted attention.
Stay away from 8000k. Dont even consider it an option. Like dudes in fart cannon clubs say, "its gay".
Stay with white 5000k, even 6000k is pushing it. Visibility wise, 4300k.

I had 8000k heads and fogs. Never had an issue. Visibility was great too.

^^^ pull up next to a car with stock HIDS and you'll see what I mean.
Not saying 8000k will have any issues themselves, but its good enough reason to get ticketed.

2 years with them and never got one. Lol. I thought they fit the black one well. Buy with this car being white I'll prob go with 5000k-6000k heads and 4300k fogs.

I never got a ticket when I had my 10K purple HIDs with my last 8G.
Guess it depends on law of state. I've never really been north of VA, but I know down lower things must be chill. Visting cars from florida around here 9 times out of 10 have very dark tint, and I've seen people riding with neons on in NC. For VA, thats pretty much a no go. I've even been pulled for slightly blue led tag lights.
Edit---
After seeing this on facebook I think maryland might be competing w/ VA in ridiculousness lol http://jalopnik.com/5589270/maryland-judge-decrees-pontiac-g8-gt-tail-lights-illegal

Just replaced my old 10k hid lights that i have had since i got the car with another set of 10k's i have never been pulled over for them.
I do know that in PA the color of the light does matter and that if you hold a piece of white paper to the light and it shows any other color than white its not legal, and
that the hid has to be in a projector housing. Also as fare as tint goes up here there isn't a percentage ratting for legality but the law here does state that all persons in the vehicle must be visible
from out side of the vehicle at all times of the day. So it really depends on the officer because i have had friends get pulled over and have to ripe there tint off right there and it was only 35% in the front and 20%
in the rear.

Ok well i didnt exactly buy this today its bin about 8ish weeks since i bought it but shipping and shit happens and things.
But anyway basicly i bought a VR-4... but just 1/3 of it :P from hong kong
The Three Musketeers;
got the rear subframe and the drive shafts
Now i know non of this is bolt on but that's what makes it fun doin something no one or very few ppl have done before that's what this is all about.
although i though i would have to fabricate allot of stuff just from a quik glance the engine is bolt in or at-least very close to it (its replacing the 4g63 in the jdm) and the rear sub-frame is 50% bolt in but to make the drive shaft fit i have to make a tunnel in the gas tank which unlike the usdm is not plastic but sheet metal so that made my job just so much easier
anyways hopefully ill have more updates tomorrow.
