I made my own set. It's not hard work but it's kind of tedious since unlike the 8GA grill where it's a straight cut to the fins, the 8GB grill has horizontal fins that end at a weird angle. So it's best to cut as close to the edge as you can and then carefully sand out the rest of the leftover bump until it's flush with the border of the grill.

As you see on the sides I didn't do that but I got kind of lazy and it's difficult to cut the end of the fins because the fins are hollow and it will create notches into the border so I guess cut them out and fill it up with bondo.

That's my plan! Did you fill the giant hole under the grilles with mesh as well? I'm more concerned about that area.

That part is really easy...just buy mesh and put it there...

How would you suggest I glue it in place behind the opening?

I believe I just bent the ends of the mesh in a way to kind of hold on to something...I dont remember exactly...its been a minute...I know I didn't use glue tho...if you just look around the area I'm sure you can figure it out, not too hard

Alright thanks for the tip. I saw an Accord with a body kit at Bdubs yesterday and it had mesh in its grill but it was all mangled and coming off and looked like shit, so I want to try and avoid that. lol Once I get the mesh Ill play around with it and see what I can come up with.

Had another nice day so I installed the fire extinguisher in the glove box, it's a tight fit but it does fit.

I also did the mesh grill mod thingy, but instead of cutting the fins out I just decided to put the mesh behind them to prevent stuff flying in and hitting the radiator.

I also filled in the giant opening towards the bottom of the bumper for the same reason.

Not too bad for a couple hours of work if I say so myself.

The way I did mine was bend it (like you did) and hen used got glue for added security

If a bug hits it at 80 it's gonna push that mesh in unless it's secured

Thats exactly what I did as well, so far so good. I will have to wait and see what the summer heat does to it tho and go from there, might end up siliconing it eventually.

    dude matt...we need pictures!
i painted them, used aircraft paint remover to strip em clear down to the black layer then sprayed em with a high temp paint. didn't do thaaaaaatttttt great of a job but its good enough you wont be able to tell unless you really get up close. didn't touch the back side at all

not sure if i should rebuild them or not...heard its messy but i don't really think they need it. any tips on how to check?

If the boots on the pistons are not all swollen you should be good. Check for rips or tears.
