    For the 7g...

    Performance
    Acceleration (0-60 mph): 9.8 sec.
    Braking Distance: 137 ft.
    Road Holding Index: 0.77 g
    Base Number of Cylinders: 4
    Base Engine Size: 2.4 liters
Base Engine Type: Inline 4 -1
    Horsepower: 141 hp
    Max Horsepower: 5500 rpm
    Torque: 148 ft-lbs.
    Max Torque: 3000 rpm
    Drive Type: FWD
For the 8g it depends on if it's an I4 or V6...

I don't mind answering you questions man, but you gotta try and post in the appropriate forum and many of your questions have been ansered time and time again... please make sure you're using the SEARCH tool before posting topics. Thanks

year and model? they all weigh the same or within a few hundred pounds
did you launch it or just punch it. I held brake and gave it about 3,000 rpm and had sick reaction time. no tire spin either. Also shifted manually at about 7,000 rpm.

7,000 RPM ! Well no wonder you beat the factory 0-60 time, you took the car into the red. I hope you don't do that to often
How did you get to 7K? I kept it in 2nd once and gunned it all the way to the floor and the engine rev limited at about 5800...

Ive com close to around 6800 in second before it just hung up on rev limit(a/t shifting manually) But my 0-60 with aftermarket filter is a pathetic 10.2s and by my gheto ass stopwatch timing 1/4mile is low 17s but thats not acurate so..

I do it if the situation calls for it... I always have an extra motor so I don't care if it explodes, I'll just put in a new one... As for the shift points, all of your cars should be the same but I am not sure, Mine is a 94, what ever gear I have it in, it stays in until I shift It. for Ex. If it is 1st, it won't shift any higher until I move it into 2. I can keep reving till 10,000 if I want but then booooooommmm. If I have it in 2, then It shifts from 1 into 2 normally but then I can rev out 2nd and it won't shift till I push it to3rd

So wait, a 94 has the revlimit removed? Cause even if im shiftin poser manual I still hit rev limit, butif you play with your gas pedal a lil you can blow a few hundred rpm past the limit.

Also I thought the rev limit was more for the trannies saftey then the engine?

i haven't done anything to limit revs, possibly someone before me did but not that I know of. I kind of like it. As for damage to tranny, well this is my second one and it seems okay so far.
