    DLC Pinout


    Pin 1: Diagnostic/ECU
    Pin 2: Unknown/Usused
    Pin 3: Unknown/Usused
    Pin 4: Ground
    Pin 5: Ground
    Pin 6: TCU
    Pin 7: Diagnostic Control Signal (ECU pin 43)
    Pin 8: ABS
    Pin 9: [Alarm]ETACS-ECU
    Pin 10: Unknown/Usused
    Pin 11: Unknown/Usused
    Pin 12: SRS/Airbag
    Pin 13: Cruise
    Pin 14: Vehicle Speed
    Pin 15: Unknown/Usused
    Pin 16: Power




    Engine
    To check MIL for Engine/Emission, grounded Pin 1 to either the chassis or Pin 4/5
    Long flashes are for the tenth digit and short flashes are for the ones.

    TCU
    To check transmission, use an analog voltmeter or a DMM with analog bars. Connect negative probe to Pin 4/5 on the DLC and positive probe on Pin 6. Long needle swing are for the tenths and short needle swings are for the ones. Also, TCU DTC can be attained by using the Engine DTC procedure.

    ABS
    Turn Ignition to the ON position and depress the brake pedal ten times within three seconds of turning the key to the ON position. Press brake pedal within one seconds of each other. If DTC are present, the ABS light will flash. This procedure may also be attain using the TCU voltmeter method.

    SRS
    May be attainable using the voltmeter method.

    14 Throttle position sensor (TPS) fault.
    15 Idle speed control (ISC) motor position sensor fault.
    21 Coolant temp sensor fault.
    22 Crankshaft position (CKP) sesnor fault.
    23 Camshaft position (CMP) sensor fault.
    24 Vehicle speed sensor (VSS) fault.
    25 Barometric (BARO) pressure sensor fault.
    31 Knock sensor fault.
    32 MAP sensor faulty.
    36 Ignition timing adjustment signal fault.
    39 Oxygen (O2) sensor fault.
    41 Injector(s) fault
    42 Fuel pump fault.
    43 EGR fault.
    44 Ignition coil (cylinders #1 & #4) fault.
    52 Ignition coil (cylinders #2 & #5) fault.
    53 Ignition coil (cylinders #3 & #6) fault.
    55 Idle air control (IAC) valve position sensor fault.
    59 Rear Oxygen (O2) sesnor fault.
    61 Transaxle control module torque reduction signal fault.
    62 Variable Induction control (VIC) valve position sensor fault.
    God created turbo lag to give the v8's a brief moment of hope.
