Its not driven by wire like our engines. Its electronicly controlled from the gas pedal to the throttle housing.

Thats what drive by wire means lol- electronically controlled gas pedal to throttle body.

Only sonata f5m42 swapped. N/A build in motion.

Sounds like a great plan for me.

What if you wanted to upgrade TB's? Couldn't you just eliminate the wiring?

Given that the IM is in a reachable spot to put a regular TB on it then i wouldnt see a problem swapping.

You better watch what u do if ur gonna mess with Fly by wire t.b's..the motor in those are strong enough to bend the butterfly around a screwdriver. I dont think a finger would withstand that..lol

IDK I think GDi just sounds "bad", but the engine actually makes less power than a DOHC 4g64. Stick with what we have here in the States guys unless you get a deal on something from everseas

I know I really want the DOHC heads off the 6g72 AWD Diamante, but hey if i dont find it SOHC will work just fine. Thats when I get an 8g one day
God created turbo lag to give the v8's a brief moment of hope.

With 225nm at much lower revs i would say its a better engine for N/A tuning with the compression rate and all ;) And with a jap-spec ECU u get 165hp ;)

Don't forget the 4G64 GDI is also Mivec. Variable timing on the intake cam.
