I am probably going to change my altinator this weekend, does anyone have any advice or tips that I should know?

lmao thats a good place to start. Check the Haynes manual, it might show you how to remove/replace your Alternator

Installing the new alternator can be painful. I had a heck of a time aligning the new alternator and getting one of the bolt to catch. Not much you can do about it other than just keep trying. While pretyy obvious I advise you to install the alt and then hook up the wiring. It seems like the top adjustment bracket mounting bolt also passes through/fastenens part of the water pump. I'd suggest not losening this bolt unless absolutely necessary.

Ok so taking the altinator off was a piece of cake all I did was remove the bolt from the bottom and the one on the adjuster. The only problem that I had was that someone had put a 94 altinator on and switched the plug so I had to take the new one off put the old one back on and Im gunna get a 94 altinator on Monday. I tried to find a 98 plug but couldn't. Thanks to all that helped.
