    Wont Move

Curretly my 96 Galant wont drive, or go in reverse. (I even tried the two lower gears 2 and L, but they dont work.) And when i am in gear and i hit the gas my RPM's just spike up, but i dont go any where. So my question is, does someone know whats wrong with my car?

Check your transmission fluids. I bet you are very low on fluid or you have wayy too much.

(You are supposed to check fluids when the engine is warm)

That is what i thought , but after i put the fluids in and took it for a drive it worked fine then started acting up again.

ive been through this 4 times before, just go 5 speed as it costs the same as a good used auto tranny and less than a rebuilt tranny

7g auto trans die frequently. Usually you'll lose reverse first and then the forward gears go. My 98ES finished a 4K road trip and then reverse just stopped working within days of being home. Car had 140k total miles. My 94ES trans died at 200K after months of gradually increasing problems but it all started with losing reverse. 7g auto trans die, its just what they do.
