    Rear Mitsu Symbol

I'm trying to take the rear symbol off so I can paint it black to match my tailights, I know there are the two prongs holding it on there but how do I get that off and is it hard to put back on?

you need to pry the black holders off, then take it off, it is held in by the same glue as all the other badges on the back are. So you may need to heat it up

3M double sided tape. I painted mine on the car, just with lots of newspaper and painters tape

or you can eliminate it completely. I took mine off and welded the holes. Looks good without it

Take it off with fishing string if you have it. Then paint and put it back on with some 3m automotive tape.

One of the members here stayed at my house before mod and debadged his car =)

That was one of my first mods! Debadging makes everything look so much cleaner. I left the triple diamond and the "GALANT" on the trunk trim...

Haha same here. I also wanted a chrome emblem. Saw one on ebay that was brand new and bought it. Not knowing it was for the 9g galant XD

Either way the oversized emblem looks good IMO.

Hell yeah! Mitsu pride. I saw another member on here put one that has carbon fiber in the diamonds. It looks pretty sweet. That may be my next purchase.

    For an extra 100hp, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT

That was the first thing I did on mine too but now I have black heads and tails so I'm painting both of them black to keep the scheme going. I'm thinking about moving one of the V6 emblems from the fender to the trunk.

I'm looking at those same heads. I bought a pair of 8b tails and smoked them and put them on.

Altezzas are okay, but it's your car man.

I used just a walmart brand black spray paint. But I used a few coats of automotive acrylic clear coat to make sure it didn't chip

Looks great man, Is the one on the front held on with prongs or just the adhesive?

Just adhesive. Little tip if you're taking the back one off too, when you put it back on, take a little waterproof caulking (I used Window caulking) and just put a dab on your finger and seal up where the prongs are on the inside of the trunk. I keeps it from leaking at all.
