    18" wheels with 30mm offset

so, I order a new set of 18" XXR wheels,I did not check the width, or the offset, now I am stuck with a new but useless set of wheels, when I went to get them installed, I ask to try them first, before get the tires installed, and the result is that the face of the wheel is almost 1" outside the rear panel. I almost cry, but now I know better: a 18"x8.5" w.30mm offset will NOT FIT.

I would love to see them fit, but they are 8.5" wide, they sit almost 1" outside the rear edge; I roll the edges in advance, thinking they may rub, but I think they are too outside.
