    Newby from England

    Hi,

Just recently purchased a late 97 8g 2.0 gls estate after the pistons on my e36 BMW blew into a thousand pieces.

The previous owner left my galant in an awful state so have loads to do to it to get it into shape although he did have a full scorpion exhaust system fitted and some nice 17's so it's not all bad. First problem is that it was covered in awful stickers and stripes and upon removing them noticed that they were put there to cover up a crappy respray job on the rear quarter where the clear coat has started peeling. Also the indicators don't work due to a sticky relay and the whole interior needs to be ripped out and started over... A lot more work than I was looking for but I know how mean these babys can look if done right so I'm well up for the challenge, so here's what's on my to do list:

    Indicator relay
    Re-spray
    New seats
    New carpet
    New rear bumper
    New fog lights
    New bulbs all around
    Clear all the lights
    6x9's in each door
Locate and remove the bass rattles
    Dye the roof liner
    Tinted windows
    Power folding mirrors
    Led lit dials and switches
    Custom make some angel eyes
New air intake for the induction kit

There's more mainly engine based but these are my priorities so can see this being a long haul. This is my first Mitsubishi as ive always had beemers so please expect loads of stupid questions from me.

    Cheers

    Nathan

Oh and here's the pic of my poor BMW being taken away...

Welcome to TGC! The 2.0L in your legnum is not available over here in our 8g's. But If you come across a problem with the car, I'm sure we'll be able to give you some input.

    Very nice beamer btw!

Thanks I'll take a look, here's some more piccys of the car without snow, got a few bits done today and it's looking... Better, lol

What I'm really in need of is a rear splitter just to make the back look a bit meaner but sourcing one is proving to be difficult

I'm going to be powder coating the inner part of the wheels black and keeping the deep dish part silver, I think that will improve them but I quite like that they are a bit different to everything else I see out there
