    question...

    how many feet ahead should the headlights shine on low beam? thinking mine are low, cuz i can't see shit when it rains.

    Do you have just regular headlights? Because the average length is like 40 or so feet.

    ya...just regular bulbs, but that's the thing...

    i googled it, and read 25 ft. in one place. and in another it said 100 - 150 ft.

    kinda big difference.

    I think 100-150 is about how far your highs should show.

    smoke a j and let it figure itself out.... thats what i did, and i get pulled over for shinnig at cops faces all the time! lol

    what i did was parked behind another car and aim it so that it wasn't blinding them [make sure you got someone you know in the car lol]. the beam should be high enough to see now but not enough to a bother the driver in front of you and possibly get pulled over later

    there's a circular washer with teeth, and a bolt on it. twist it left or right.

    I used to work at a dealer body shop. The rule of thumb they would use was to adjust them at knee height or about 24" up when about 10 feet from the nose of the car.

    For trucks it was a bit different.

    I know our cars are not the best to see with when it rains out side. Best I can say is to use some Rain-X on the wind sheild. It helps a lot.
