    Stock GTZ rims...

I was surprised to see the stock GTZ rims were manufactured by Enkei...

They were suprisingly light too... I was expecting them to be heavier...

Overall I really like the stock rims, so i guess i'll keep them for the winter months... Too bad you can't get a good brake kit to fit behind them...

Enkei makes them are you sure??

Are you talking about just the stock 2002 GTZ rims or 1999-2001 stock GTZ rims????

I know the 2002 GTZ rims are different now they are some kinda
    of five spoke rim.

Its funny because Mitsubishi just used the same rims from the old school Diamante and slapped them on the 2002 Galant GTZ and called it something new.

Where did you read that? :?:

    2002 rims...

well, they did a good job swapping out those old GTZ rims... I would have never took those if they were given to me...

I think these may have had a similiar design to an old Diamante wheel, bu they are definitely different...

It seems to me that Enkei makes alot of wheels for car manufactuers...

if i remember correctly, my previous car (97 montero sport) and my 2001 montero came with enkei wheels too. I guess enkei makes OEM wheels for mitsu.

can u tell i'm a mitsu type of guy? here's a list of previous cars:

    1989 Lancer (way back)
    1996 eclipse
    1997 montero sport
    2000 galant
    2001 montero limited

heck i only had one car that wasnt a mitsu, a 1993 accord lx.

I was happy to see the enkei badge in the casting also, I actually have an extra rim without a tire on it and it is one of the lighter stock rims I have lifted, but I haven't weighed it yet......

i'm interested to see what the weight of the stock rim is as well... when you get a chance, how about weighing that thing and letting us know...

it's an 02 GTZ rim, right...?

My 16" steel wheels felt like they were filled with LEAD!! I love my cheap aftermarkets and was surprised at the weight difference!

Enkei makes toyota's wheels also... some are hard to find as aftermarkets made exclusively for the manufacturers...

My 2001 ES V6 rims are the stainless steel ones found on the LS V6 and GTZ models of the same time period...the 5 spoke ones with the groove down each spoke. They weighed in at 46 pounds approx, since I used my bathroom scale for measurement.

Aye it's with the tire...I don't have empty weight. That'd be some heavy ass wheels though hehe...no wonder the Galant is so slow to get up to speed
