New Guy from VA!

Hey guys, new here and to Galants in general but been working on imports for the past eleven years. I've got tons of experience with DSM's, CSM's and the 4g63 in general. My last car I got rid of was a 89 Dodge Colt GT with extensive mods. I am getting ready to pick up a 94 Galant GS that stopped running for $350.. The last time I seen it the car was in mint shape and when I found out that it was a DOHC 2.4 car I had to have it!

I'm really hoping to find something simple wrong with it. But anyhow I plan on Doing a full write up on pulling the motor and building it for boost and possibly running a 1g ecu w/ECMlink. The reason Im goin with the 1g ecu/link is that I have one laying around and 1g wiring harness and a few donor AWD dsm's to boot.

post some pictures when you get it.i also have a 1994 mitsubishi galant gs.they are awesome cars.i have been told they hard to find.the first thing i would check is the timing belt on it.

Welcome to TGC. Its good to hear of good finds like this. I found a GS one time guy told me $250 then backed out. The car just sat there for about a year and then one day it was just gone.:( But anyway good luck.

Thanks for the welcome everyone, and yeah Im pretty sure its gonna be the timing belt ending up being the culprit. I just hope not to much damage was done.
