That's right, I used the same setup nothing needs to be spaced.

Ohh and just in case don't use a spacer that the 3g's have between the crank and the flywheel, the G's don't use it.

in a decent amount of detail,
how could I remove a cam gear without removing the timing belt from the engine?

  3. #243
I don't imagine that being possible.

    225/40/18 since they're only 7" wide.

the crank pulley bolt has standard threading, right? I can't with any amount of torque on that bolt by hand with a breaker bar (and pipe) and then a spanner holding the pulley stationary, break loose this bolt, so, time to rent an impact?

The other trick you could use is wedging a breaker bar against the ground while on the bolt. Turn the key to start for just a split second. Just make sure your crank sensor is unplugged so the car doesn't actually start.

I might end up doing that, but then again how do I torque it down that much afterwards, also another trick I have learned is to unplug a fuel injector, this does the same thing as disconnecting the crankshaft position sensor

Mine is a corded gun and it works all the time. Just keep at it and it should come off. Try pb blaster instead of wd40.

This! For stuck bolts, I find that continual blasting with the impact coupled with spraying PB Blaster, they slowly come out with minimal damage to the threads (if dirty or damaged threads are what is causing the bolt to be stuck). This is for stuck bolts in general, I've never done the actual crank pulley bolt myself, but I encounter stuck bolts all day at work.

    Disclaimer: I use either a Snap-on 3/8", a Snap-on 1/2", an Ingersol-Rand 1/2" or Ingersol-Rand 3/4" air impacts with a 100psi supply, top quality joints!

I remember at the bbq meet we accidentally left the ratchet on keiths car trying to remove the crank pully? And started the engine..... didnt have to wedge anything just the momentum of the ratchet broke it lose.

Only sonata f5m42 swapped. N/A build in motion.
