if you look at it its an evo 8 stock turbo. look at the side the turbo is on in reference to where it would be on the motor and it would face the drivers side.

personally i wouldnt go that route as everything needs to be fabricated. also if you look at the numbers you see the tdo5hr meaning its evo orientated and 01520 means its the same as a small 16g but with the slightly larger hotside it is good for in my math around 340-360 with the right setup and around 26 psi.

EDIT: Pics are misleading. I never posted pics of the new turbo, though the numbers are nearly identical

ohh nice, we have it hooked up and drove it down the road. It's got some nice power compared to the stock turbo. The stock bov on the 2g's are so quiet though. I'm trying to source up a pipe compatible with the 1g bov, those are nicer sounding.

Stock turbos don't have an adjustable wastegate arm. Also for the UICP look at Dejon for that, I had their pipes on my old 2G before doing the front mount.

    Update!

We started with a 10ft length of mild steel 16 gauge 3in exhaust piping. Fabricated it up to make the necessary bends for the gsx, added a magnaflow high flow cat, and put on a Vibrant dual tip muffler.

This one's just showing how straight the pipe is compared to the drive shaft.

I absolutely love the tone this car has. It is pretty loud but overall I think it's got a nice sound.

Do it! If you didn't already know, the 98-99 4g63's share the same crank bearing setup as the 4g63 evo's (4 piece) where the 95-97 had a 2 piece bearing setup.

This means no crank walk for 98-99. I would jump on it.

i like the sound of that thing! I wonder what a resonator would do to it?

    Wow, that is nice.

Add an 18" high flow resonator or glasspack to have a more deeper tone, and it's perfect.

I'll see if I can talk him into getting one lol. He loves the sound right now so it might be hard to have him change it a bit. I'd love for it to be a little quieter but still the same sound.
