Yes, some... keep in mind when you use an HID kit higher than 6000k you're already starting to lose light output. So at 8000k you're probably working with a bluish tinted light output rather than more of a pure white that the 5400k-6000k will give you. If you tint your headlights it's just going to take away from the light you already have... how much?... no way of knowing. Each manufacturer of the tint film uses words like "smoke", "charcoal", etc but each one blocks a bit different amount. It's kind of a gamble really... plus you don't know what a bored cop might have to say about tinted headlights.

Personally, if I were going to tint the headlights, I'd swap out the 8000k bulbs for some 6000k to make sure you're getting as much light as possible, but that's just me.

At least if you put the tint on and try them out you can take it off later if you don't like it. You'll be out the money... but at least its easy to take off.

A side note.... if you want to be gutsy... you could tint the lights however dark you want and then with a carvers razor blade try to cut out the 3 circles where the light will come through so the rest is tinted but you won't lose light. Not sure how good it would look... but.

Yea I'm gutsy lol cops can eat an elephants toe. I'll probably cut out holes where the light comes out once I figure out where that is lol. I want it cause it will set the Maroon/Black look.

Ehg actually I think I'll just stick with my headlight sidemarkers smoked lol

You see the 3 holes where the lights are? The headlight, the turn signal, and the parking light? You can just tape off the area of the housing where that is and do the same thing you did for the tails with the VHT nite shades and just put on an extra coat or 2.

Just get yourself some trim tape like what painters use to create flames or pin striping. It's flexible and you can lift it up and restick it if its not quite right. Do that til you get the nice circular shape of all 3 holes for the lights and the side marker reflector... tape off the middle with paper... do your night shades... boom. Match your tail lights.
