    Icon6 SEIBON CF hoods

Thinking about getting a SEIBON carbon fiber OEM hood for my 8G (2002 Galant) cause my current hood current condition is not good (paint defect). Has anyone had any fitment issues if you currently have a SEIBON hood on your "G"? I heard lot a great things regarding SEIBON CF hoods compared to the VIS CF hoods. Just curious

^^ yeap. Gonna repost it here just in case

On my Seibon hood, all I had to do was cut the small portion by the radiator cap.

I ended up cutting a square that would fit the entire radiator cap because I wasn't sure how much it was hitting the hood. I had to push the hood pretty hard to get it to close before I cut that portion out, so I couldn't tell if it was rubbing a little bit, or a lot.

fitment is pretty good otherwise. I haven't gotten too many detailed pics of it, but it looks good IMO

That is cool with me, a slight modification. Not bad... When you cut the square underneath, the hood sits flush now without any problems with the radiator cap? So beside that, everything else is good? Thanks. From my readings, I've heard horror stories on other sites regarding ViS CF Hoods and heard great things about SEIBON.

Yeah, I wish I had a pic showing the true fitment. The gap on either side of the hood isn't bad. From the front, the passenger side of the hood sits a litter higher off the headlight than the driver side. I think that the broken tab on my headlight is making it worse than it really is though.

Thanks, if any of you can, just send me at least 1 or 2 pics of the SEIBON hood on how it looks on your G-ride. Just to give me an idea...If you can thanks fellow "G" members.

Also, if any 2002 - 2003 Galants out there on the site that have the SEIBON carbon fiber hoods on ur ride currently (OEM or EVO style), please send some pics of it on your ride. Again, thanks fellow "G" riders with the info and pics. These hoods look nice on da rides. Whatever modification is needed, at least the Galant.Net site is here to assist.

Looks real good man. Why are you painting it? I'd say wait for that until you're done modifying the exterior. That way if you go JDM, you can have everything painted at once.

Other than rims & tires, just a performance muffler, strut bar, alpine sound system w/DVD deck. Looking to upgrade by getting a spoiler, getting it lowered, along with a custom intake and some engine modifications in the future. Glad that the "G's" have this site. It's helped alot.
