    Skyforger's progression thread! 03 ES

    Thought I should make a project/progression thread...update as the G changes.

    Here's the 8G: HELLASTOCK

Well, only one mod. Car came with these 15" TSWs.

    Debaging...

First off, went after that ES badge:

Then a bumper sticker to attend to:

Coated it with goo-gone, and slowly peeled the sucker off:

Left some nasty residue, but the goo-gone made quick work of that.

Aside from scrapes from the g/f using the trunk, and rock chips, paint was still good underneath:

Then attended to the "Galant" emblem:

    Hey, where did it go?

Then dusted off the cars for some quick pics.

    Then tinted the stock tails:

    Marked off the backup light:

    First coat:

    Second coat:

Then came the AEM CAI! (props to Galantman03 for the killer deal!!)

Then added the rally flaps, and small polished tip to the stock exhaust.

    Then the GS stripes:

    Yay stickers! lol

    lol

For that nasty scuff in the back bumper.

Under the hood, she picked out these:

And of course, the club banner and JDM flag.
    *

And at the TGC meet in Queens, slapped the ROH's on, and got the 2nd gen JDM tails installed (props to deeznutz for the install, and Keith6110 for the killer deal!)

The 15"s are back on though. More to come!

Indeed, the ROH's have a +38 offset, so there was no sunk in look. In fact, they were poking on the front! lol

Thanks again for the great deal on them! (added props for ya in the original post. :D)

Next on the list is the JDM mirrors, and the small spoiler that never came on USDM Galants.

    Intake +1
    JDM Tails +1

And As you know not everyone will agree on mods.

    Mud flaps :SMh:
New Years Balls hanging on rear view, too much clutter.

I liked it better before all of the stickers EVERYWHERE lol, and the GS stripes really don't flow IMHO, but hey, it's your GF's car so more power to her. get some stock evo wheels and s-techs with your choice of shocks/struts and leave it the way it is, maybe a front lip.

Pretty much everything added she loves. lol

Future plans do include a drop with KYB AGX's on Eibachs, a lip of some sort, JDM mirrors, JDM heads and the smaller spoiler not seen on USDM Galants.

Actually no. If I was gonna try flaps I would have went oem.

Im just anal about massive ornaments in my FOV.
I used to test drive Nav/Gps installs at best buy and I hated fruitbags with dream catchers, crosses, cd's, a baby shoe, huge dice and a plush toy dangling in from the rearview, thats where it comes from I guess

I see this about the decals becoming a common post. LOL. It's all good.

lol My comment was out of jest. ;)

That's the one thing I've told Jess that she should leave off. She could just have it on for shows. But, she's a Portal fangirl, no coaxing her. lol

JDM mirrors! Formally off of Qnzmostwanted's 8G.

Still need to be wired up, and replace the glass for LHD. Motor is possibly burnt out for the power folding feature. Sounds like a project to me. :D

Mine will be here in a little while, but they won't be anywhere near colormatched, I may just wrap 'em in CF. She's progressing nicely, Chris!

The paint is a bit beat up, but it'll do for now. Jess really wants the entire mirror in silver, I like the black plastic parts...we'll see what becomes of the mirrors in the future. Props to Edwin for the great deal on the mirrors!
