I need some advice

I just got my sub boxes back from the fiberglasser and I don't know what color to make them. I thought about doing a black or dark gray with metal flake but I also thought about wrapping them in CF vinyl but I figured that would get pretty pricey. the back part will be wrapped in sub box carpet. But if you have any suggestions just tell me I'm up for really anything.

They have about 2 cu. ft. of air space in each that's a pretty good amount for my Hifonics 12's that will go in there.



These are the ports they are pointed up to the back of my seats.

why not keep it subtle and do the whole thing in grey carpet material?

Because that carpet won't stretch to the curves of the box well.

Update on the boxes. I've got the body filler on. I need about one more coat on it, then it's time for paint. I'm going to try my hardest to get black but I may end up having to do black with splatter to cover up some of the imperfections in the body filler. I should have some more pictures up later tonight. And I'll have lots of pictures up when I get it done. Thanks for everyone's help. and DTP I never got those dimensions today I'll try and remember to get them tomorrow.

Don't settle for imperfections just keep sanding and filling until you're happy.
It'll be better to paint the box once, than paint it again because you took it out to fix the stuff noone else could see but you knew was there so it kept bothering you....

They look awesome! Great job but how do they sound?

By the way I thought those hfi's sounded great for the money but my amp was way underrated and killed any speaker I put near it that was at or higher than the rated wattage by 500 watts. I got a Rockford p3 holding strong. If they're (the hfi's) brand new in about a week they'll sound about 1/3 louder.

I love the way they sound I've got my LPF so it cuts off just the right amount and They aren't new I had them in my Thunderbird for a few months before this. But the ports face right into my cab so it shakes the shit out of everything. I'm going to have to dynamat my trunk soon.
