Bumpers can be folded on the ends to save on shipping. Thats what our current importer from Japan does for us. Seats on the other hand, not gonna happen. Too heavy.

Interior JDM chrome handles are good too.

How do you fold a bumper to ship it?

Anything that you can ship over here, just do it if you can afford it.

Hoping to make it over in late March/early April. Because I am retired from the military I can fly on military aircraft in a space available status (meaninmg if there is an open seat on the plane and no one with a higher priority than me wants it, I can fly for free. Of course being retired places me in the lowest category so it is a crap shoot getting there and back, Got to be flexible).

I have a friend who has lived in Okinawa for years. I asked if he had any interest in pulling parts/hitting the junyards. He said he had a friend who was doing that several years ago but it was a bust; just could not make enough to make it worth while. He also said the chinese are now coming to Japan and buying up junk cars for scrap. Anyway he has volunteered to get me to the junkyards if I make it over.

You fold the ends of the bumper (that wraps around the car and bolts up to the fender), so then the bumper is somewhat flat.

I've bagged the trip to Japan for this year; got as far as Las Vegas on the way to CA to try for a military hop when news about earthquake and tidal wave broke. Now plannning to try again July/Aug 2012 when my boss retires and closes her practice; I'll have more time then as I won't have to try and fit this in during a vacation. On bright side I did get a shot at parts on a 94GS in Las Vegas. Sadly it was pretty trashed.

Keep sending suggestions as to smaller parts (things that can be easily shipped) for me to look for.

Now heading to Phoenix instead. Doubt I'll find any JDM in the junk yards there but might trip over a set of OEM fogs lights.
