oil pressure guage

just installed my oil pressure guage and when i start the car it reads 80 to 100 and after it warms up it goes down to 35-40 if i floor it it goes to 80 or more. is this normal??need help!!!

Im not sure about your pressure readings because I have a I4 engine.
But yes when the car is cold the pressure will be higher then normal but as it warms up it will go down some.

And yes when you floor it the pressure will go shooting way up more then normal driving.

When you really want to be worried is when you have no pressure what so ever. Or if it shoots way up and will not settle back down around 40 or so.
